Opening via the flipper
While knife is closed, hold knife firmly allowing for knife opening to be clear to open blade. Then apply pressure with your index finger on the flipper. The more pressure, the faster the blade will fully open to locked position.
Unlocking the Blade
The blade will automatically secure when fully opened by the frame lock. To unlock the frame lock, simply push the left frame in the left direction with your thumb until blade is clear. Then push blade down to close. Be sure all fingers are clear before fully closing blade.

What is not Covered
This warranty runs as long as you own your product unless your Factor Equipment product is modified in any way.
This warranty does not cover breakage or failure due to misuse. Our products are designed to be of high quality and it should be extremely rare that your product break due to effect. Usually they break or fail from what we consider abusive behavior (not covered by warranty):
The warranty can become void if:
- Our knives are used for any purpose other than cutting (improper use).
- The knife is modified in any way.
- There is damage caused by abuse, misuse, loss, improper handling, alterations, accident, neglect, disassembly, or improper sharpening.
- Repairs to your knife are performed by any other source
- unsuitable tasks like prying, pounding, chiseling, and hammering
- most blade tip breakage is not covered by our warranty.
Also, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
Misuse of your knife can cause serious injury or even death. It can also cause your knife to break or fail and the Factor Equipment limited lifetime warranty will not apply. Failure to properly maintain your knife also may cause its mechanisms to not function properly, which could result in injury to you or damage to the knife.
Like most tools, our knives should be cared for properly. As your knife has been used for an extended period of time, it is possible that the knife may need sharpening or maintenance to retain its usefulness. Any and all maintenance is the responsibility of the knife owner and is not covered by this warranty.

Wow, I finally found this knife again! I had the Absolute Folder for 3 years and then lost it. The first time I ever lost a pocket knife and I was saddened. Like most of you I had 3 or 4 EDC backups, but this is by far my favorite folder ever. Right now my EDC is a Benchmade, while I await delivery of my new Absolute, but it is not as beefy as the Absolute. I was thrilled with the coupon, so I bought 2. Great knife – for the money, what a bargain!

I’m a die hard benchmade guy but after losing 3 $250 knives in a year I figured it was time for something cheaper. I LOVE the m390 steel which is what brought me to this knife. It is nice and light and keeps an edge very well. I’ve had it for 3 months now and I use it for daily chores such as opening boxes, cutting banding, and even trimming veneer and it has just now got to where I can’t shave with it and finally need to sharpen
My only complaints with this knife is that it’s hard to sharpen unless you hand sharpen it as the blade angle is not stated. Secondly the handle is a little simplistic. I can’t imagine it’s the best handle for someone with big hands as it’s pretty thin and short with nothing much to it. I would like to see a thicker handle to make it easier to grip but other than that this is a wonderful blade and well worth the money!

My Absolute arrived today. And I love it! I got a military discount, but like Jarred, this knife is well worth the full price. The finish is impeccable and weight and balance are perfect for an edc. If there is a con it would be the factory edge. Not shave your arm sharp but still a fairly decent edge that won’t take much work to get razor. I was kinda apprehensive as I had read some not so good reviews – glad I dropped the dime and ordered. Great knife!

Got this with their awesome law enforcement discount code (thanks for that guys), but it’s worth full price. My wife calls me a pocket knife junkie, so I may have a few knives in my collection. This one is right there with a couple of my ZT knives. In fact, I would say it’s finish is even better. Absolutely love it. Only had a couple weeks, so will give more input later. So far I would say great job on this beauty. Going to get the Iconic CF next month.
NOTE: I got the compact version first and called and switched with the larger size. I’m a bigger guy and the compact was too small for my hands. Customer service took care of me quickly.
